I started with writing. As a girl I filled pages with what I felt and thought, because I needed to get it out of me and onto paper. Then I fell in love with images: a shot, a piece of music, a colour, a scene that carries an emotion without having to explain it.

Design comes from the same place. To me a brand is who you are, given a form: what people think of you before they have met you, the first thing that comes to mind when you are not in the room. That is why I care so much about how things present themselves, and about first impressions.

Psychology is the other half of my work. I am in the third year of a double bachelor's degree at the University of Perugia, in Philosophy and in Psychological Sciences and Techniques, and in Rome I trained at SEF, the European School of Functional Psychotherapy founded by Luciano Rispoli, where I completed a three-year master's. The functional model sees mind and body not as two separate things but as one. I want to understand why people think, feel and act the way they do, myself included. For me cinema is the same search: going deep into a character, into the reasons behind a choice.

Il filo d'acciaio was born from that. Why did my great-great-grandfather leave for America? What did he feel there? Why did he decide to stay, and to bring his family over? I like to tell real human stories and stay faithful to what actually happened. But I also like to move into other emotions: The Silent Echo is a short noir film made of silence and mystery. Among the filmmakers who inspire me is Nicole Conn, for the way she reaches into human experience, into how we think and feel.

What matters to me is honesty, humanity and freedom. I like to work wherever a story takes me: if a documentary calls me to New York, or anywhere else, I want to be able to go.

Alongside my own projects I am open to commissioned work for brands, companies and events. If you have a story to tell, let's talk.
